The maned wolf is the largest canid in South America. It is also the tallest wild canid in the world, its stilt-like legs a useful adaptation for spying prey over the tall grasslands where it lives. Despite its name, the maned wolf is not a wolf at all, nor is it a fox, coyote, or dog. It is the only member of the Chrysocyon genus, making it a truly unique animal, not closely related to any other living canid. One hypothesis for this is that the maned wolf is the last surviving species of the Pleistocene Extinction, which wiped out all other large canids from the continent.

BOO HOO MY FAVOURITE ARTIST WON’T TALK TO ME
HOW TERRIBLE
>doesn’t reply to comments
….have you been to DA? most of the time there’s nothing to reply to. 60% of all comments just says “kawaii” and the rest asks questions that were already answered in the damn description 8|
wow, thinking shit of an artist just because you’re not friends?
i hate how quickly i always want to debate a topic but okay i’ll bring up some points i suppose
1. some people are not talkative people. just because they post their art on a gallery does not mean that they are extremely talkative extroverts who want to be friends with everyone. believe it or not, artists have the ability to be shy behind the works they produce.
—1a. if that’s not the case, then perhaps they are simply guarded. i as well as many of my friends have experienced points in time where some people just literally do not drop the drooling fangirl view of you and they make initiating friendships really awkward. it makes a lot of artists wind up keeping distance from their fans.
—2a. artists keep comments on because they appreciate them. if they didn’t want comments, they would not allow them. in my opinion, that is enough to know that for whatever you have to say, the artist is thankful to hear, even if they can’t get around to replying.2. fandom forums? see 1.
3. “only friends with people around their skill level” — i’m sorry, but what is honestly wrong with having friends at your level? and that’s not to say they don’t have other friends who aren’t, but it’s likely that those people in particular are more likely to be seen interacting around one another on gallery sites simply because of their ability to mesh well together. when i go on paintchats and tegaki to rp and collab and whatnot, it’s nice to be around people whose style can mesh well with mine. it’s hard to work with someone who is much more experienced or under-practiced than yourself.
that said, with the kind of mindset the confession OP has, i’m honestly surprised if anyone would want to interact with them anyway. :’D
